Recording and Streaming Services

Classroom and Events Technology Support provides support for event video recording and streaming.

It is important that you contact CETS a minimum of 10 days prior to your event concerning your Audio/Visual needs and Technician availability.

Lecture Recording

The current platform used for lecture recording is Mediasite. The recordings include what is displayed on the screen and audio. The audio recorded would include both microphone and computer audio. If you are interested in utilizing Mediasite please contact the Center for Innovative Learning (CIL) https://www.unthsc.edu/center-for-innovative-learning/.

Video Streaming and Recording

CETS performs video streaming and recording for large-scale events and conferences only. CETS does not stream everyday events. CETS does not provide streaming service for outside group events. An outside group may request a recording, with the stipulation that they provide an external hard drive of a minimum 32GB capacity.

There are several factors for CETS to consider prior to accepting a request for either service. Some of those factors include: event size, location, purpose, CETS staffing and equipment availability.   If CETS is unable to accommodate the specific request, the best possible effort will be made to suggest an alternative solution. So please contact CETS as early as possible to discuss event needs, CETS is here to be of service.
