SPH professor selected for national Disparities Leadership Program

Dr. Elizabeth Trevino Dawson, SPH assistant professor of Health Management and Policy, has been accepted into the 2013-2014 Disparities Leadership Program of the Massachusetts General Hospital Disparities Solutions Center, Boston.
Launched in 2007, this yearlong program provides executive education and leadership training to develop a national network of professionals dedicated to eliminating racial/ethnic disparities in health care. Candidates accepted to the program come from hospitals, health plans and other health care organizations.
In addition to teaching at the UNTHSC School of Public Health, Dr. Trevino serves as CEO for North Texas Area Community Health Centers, Inc., the first and only federally qualified community health center in Tarrant County, Texas, serving the uninsured and underinsured.
