Physician Assistant Studies

Our Department of Physician Assistant Studies provides an exemplary graduate-level education with a focus on primary care and meeting the health needs of underserved populations.

The Department of Physician Assistant Studies is affiliated with the School of Health Professions and is ranked in the top 35 graduate-level physician assistant programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

Graduates receive a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree. The MPAS program is accredited by the

Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant

 

NOTICE: The School of Health Professions is anticipating an increase in tuition rates in 2012.  The exact amount of the increase is currently unknown.  Any increase in tuition rates is expected to be at a level comparable with other PA programs in Texas.  Once approved by the Board of Regents, the increase will impact all courses offered during and after the Fall of 2012.  An announcement regarding the increase is expected in March of 2012.  Current tuition and fee rates can be reviewed in the Tuition & Fees Register located on this website.
