The Financial Aid Office knows that paying for graduate or professional school can be an overwhelming experience for students. It is our goal to provide you, our students, with financial assistance and advice to help you manage the costs associated with your educational pursuits.

  The 2012-2013 General Scholarship Application is now OPEN. 

Deadline: March 5, 2012

You must have a UNTHSC Student ID# and access to the MyHSC student portal to complete the application. Further information and instructions are listed on the application.

To access the application through your MyHSC:

• 1. my.hsc.unt.edu
• 2. Go to your program tab (TCOM, GSBS, etc...)**If you are an incoming/new student you will go to your "HSC Admissions Tab"
• 3. HSC-Financial Aid box
• 4. "Scholarship Application" (there is a red star next to the application for easier identification)  

  DISBURSEMENT DATES

If you are ENROLLED we will begin requesting your funds the week prior to the first day of class.  If you are a first-time loan borrower you must complete entrance counseling and a master promissory note at www.studentloans.gov prior to your funds disbursing.  Please monitor your email and MyHSC for further information. 

 **DISBURSEMENT: the day we request the funds, NOT the day the funds are available to you.  For those with a disbursement date of 12/23, every effort will be made along with the Student Financials Office to send out refunds prior to the first day of class (please take into account the Christmas holiday, as some financial institutions are closed).  If you have not signed up for direct deposit, please allow approximately an additional 5-7 business days for delivery.
