Vice President of Institutional Advancement
Doug White leads the efforts to secure private philanthropic support for UNTHSC’s priority growth needs. He also serves as Executive Director of the UNTHSC Foundation, which is dedicated to maximizing private resources for all the educational, research, patient care and service activities of the institution. In this capacity, he ensures that the gift planning, management, reporting, recognition and stewardship services all meet the high levels of professionalism that donors deserve.
White previously held leadership roles at Texas Health Harris Methodist Foundation, serving as President from December 2004 to June 2013. He began his philanthropy leadership career in higher education development, serving as Associate Dean for External Affairs at the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Advancement at Texas Christian University and Director of Communications and Corporate Relations at the John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA.
A past president of the Rotary Club of Fort Worth, White currently chairs the Board of the Carter BloodCare Foundation. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tulsa with a BS degree and a double-major in Journalism and Advertising/Public Relations.
